Washington, DC – Keion’s Experience

So far in Washington DC I have had a lot of fun and talked and learned about Congress and all United States history. The first place we went to is Capitol Hill. At Capitol Hill we talked to Congressman and Congresswoman. We learned about how they deal with laws and how laws are passed. The next place we went was the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. We learned and saw how money is made. Some of the money has secret ink on it. I also learned that everything on the dollar has its own serial number and is made with special kind of paper. After the Bureau of engraving we took a tour at the White House.

Young People’s Role Model – Keion’s Idea

So many kids look up to rappers and ball players as role models because these people play music kids like and play sports kids enjoy watching or playing. Also, most kids don’t like what their parents are doing since it’s not interesting to kids. I say kids should look up to rappers and ball players because they could get inside of a kids mind faster than parents. Kids should also look up to their parents as role models because your parents are the people who raised you and care about.

Volunteer Abroad or at Home – Keion’s Idea

If I could travel anywhere in the world I would travel back to Africa. I would travel back because Africa has more poverty than any of the other continents. I would go back and try to help the whole Africa because if you help one part you are not going to be able to help the country. I would travel around and talk to the people that lives in the villages and learn more about them so I could see what the community needs to make it a better place, and living environment.

Child Obesity – Keion’s Idea

When Michelle Obama met with all of the mayors, she should have come with a plan to stop childhood obesity. 1 out of every 3 kids is obese because they are not watching what they are eating or have very low metabolism system. I think that mayor Bloomberg should have a day in New York where all of the fast food restaurants are closed for everybody eats healthy. He should also put more efforts into his goal to end childhood obesity.
